Visited the national museum and the pernarakan museum on monday as its my off day this week. Both my friend and I were suprised and of course happy when we realised that the admission fee to both museums are free for nus students (my auntie mentality sets in again haha).. I should say the national museum is very interesting..I like the part particularly where it introduces the famous singapore food in the early days.

There was another gallery which was also quite interesting. One will first be given a gadget with a pair of ear set that serves to provide commentaries along the way as one walks through the gallery. The gallery is designed for one to walk through a timeline. As one reaches each section of the gallery, he can key in numbers (which will be shown on the floor of the gallery) into the gadget and commentaries will be played over the ear set regarding the section of the gallery that he is in. For example, one could listen to the experiences of the different people who had gone through japanese occupation when he steps into the japanese occupation section.

The pernarakan museum was interesting too as the pernarakan culture was quite unique..the museum was small with only 2 stories..I was looking forward to see the display of pernarakan food but it was not seen anywhere :( Stumbled down the staircase in the museum instead..so malu la...I guess it left me a memorable experience in the museum.. -.-"
